
On December 18, 2024, Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital celebrated its 120th anniversary and hosted the 20th Annual Meeting on Hospital Management at Shanghai International Convention Center. The event marked a significant milestone in the hospital’s history, highlighting its legacy and vision for the future of healthcare.

The celebration opened with the screening of Why We Love Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital, a poignant film showcasing the everyday efforts of hospital staff dedicated to patient care. Through these stories, the film celebrated the hospital’s century-long commitment to excellence and humanistic care.

From its origins as an isolation hospital on Range Road in 1904 to its current position as a leading institution at the forefront of medical advancements, the hospital has consistently prioritized innovation over the past 120 years.

The launch of Lingang Science and Innovation Platform construction project aimed at driving advancements in biomedicine and integrating innovation across government, industry, academia, and healthcare sectors.

A showcase of newly released books on cutting-edge medical practices and technologies underscored the hospital’s commitment to knowledge sharing and clinical excellence.
The unveiling of sculptures commemorating the hospital’s pioneering achievements in limb reimplantation and hand surgery paid homage to its rich history. A choir rendition of Mission, inspired attendees to envision a bright future for the hospital.
The 20th Annual Meeting on Hospital Management featured thought-provoking keynote speeches delivered by globally recognized experts, each addressing significant advancements and strategies for the future of healthcare.
