Neurosurgery Hosts 15th Forum on Traumatic Brain Injury and Neurocritical Care

On September 11, the Department of Neurosurgery successfully hosted the 15th Forum on Traumatic Brain Injury and Neurocritical Care, in collaboration with the District and County Group of the Neurosurgery Branch of Shanghai Medical Association, and the Traumatic Brain Injury Group of the Trauma Surgery Branch of Shanghai Medical Association.

Serving as a pre-conference event for the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Trauma Surgery Branch of Shanghai Medical Association, the forum brought together leading neurosurgeons and trauma experts from across China. Themed “Standardization, Innovation, and Collaboration,” the event featured keynote speeches, expert panels, and multidisciplinary sessions.

Prof. Ma Xin, Party Secretary of Shanghai Sixth People’s Hospital and Director of the National Center for Orthopedics, delivered the welcome address, while Prof. Tian Hengli, Director of the Neurosurgery Department, chaired the opening session. Distinguished speakers included Academician Zhou Liangfu (Huashan Hospital), Prof. Jiang Jiyao (Renji Hospital), and many other renowned clinical experts.

Discussions focused on advancing standardized treatment, fostering innovation, and strengthening multidisciplinary cooperation in traumatic brain injury and neurocritical care. According to Prof. Tian Hengli, the forum aims to improve survival and recovery rates for patients by promoting timely and coordinated treatment: “Our goal is to help more patients survive, awaken, and recover.”
