Medical Simulation Center

Established in 2006, the Medical Simulation Center has evolved into a comprehensive skills training hub spanning 1,000 square meters, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and multifunctional capabilities. Focused on experimental teaching and clinical skills training, the center features simulated operating theaters, skill operation rooms, emergency rooms, delivery rooms, nursing and pediatric units, Intensive Care Unit, endoscopy training rooms, virtual simulation rooms, simulation clinics, traditional Chinese medicine acupuncture units, ultrasound units, network classrooms, and conference rooms, catering to diverse training needs.

Committed to enhancing talent cultivation and refining clinical competencies, the center provides future healthcare practitioners with immersive learning experiences across various hands-on scenarios. It has established an integrated simulation-based system for undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education, offering comprehensive and standardized training and assessment support for medical students, residents, specialists, and medical staff. Training and assessment activities encompass general skill operations, virtual simulations, and simulated teaching across various clinical disciplines, including general medicine, internal medicine, surgery, gynecology, pediatrics, emergency medicine, critical care, anesthesia, and nursing.

Continually expanding its collaborations, the Medical Simulation Center has forged partnerships with numerous domestic healthcare institutions. Notably, in 2017, it achieved certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC), marking a pioneering milestone as the first hospital in China to obtain RCPSC international simulation programs. In recent years, the center has remained at the forefront of medical simulation teaching and research by enhancing teaching facilities and equipment, strengthening instructor expertise, and advancing training course development. The situational simulation teaching team earned the second prize in the Shanghai Simulation Teaching Competition for Residency Training.
