Shanghai Pilot Unit for Scientific and Technological Achievements Transformation and Innovation Reform

In 2023, Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital was selected as one of the first pilot units for Shanghai's scientific and technological achievements transformation and innovation reform. Initiated by the Development and Discipline Planning Office, the hospital is spearheading efforts to innovate the system and mechanisms for transforming scientific and technological achievements in medical institutions. This includes establishing a framework that grants professional and technical personnel positions for scientific and technological achievements, implementing detailed ownership and long-term use rights regulations, creating a separate management system for job-related scientific and technological achievements, instituting a professional and efficient operation and incentive mechanism for transformation, and implementing a transformation liability exemption system. These initiatives aim to streamline the transformation chain of scientific and technological achievements. By accelerating the transition into a research-oriented hospital, Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital aims to contribute to the leap-forward development of Shanghai's bio-pharmaceutical industry.
