The "Face-to-Face with Renowned Teachers: Exploring Sixth Hospital's Cultural Roots" commenced successfully on the afternoon of April 9th, as part of our hospital's 120th-anniversary celebrations. Organized by the Clinical Medical School, the event featured an engaging speech titled "Embracing the Spirit of Scientists: Starting with Ourselves" delivered by Academician Jia Weiping.

Academician Jia Weiping began her address by urging attendees to emulate admirable role models. Drawing from her four-decade academic journey, she shared anecdotes of esteemed scientists she encountered, utilizing old photographs to vividly depict their noble character, compassion for patients, and dedication to excellence. She distilled their teachings into principles of "patriotism, innovation, pragmatism, dedication, collaboration, and mentorship". Emphasizing the importance of translating intentions into actions, Academician Jia stressed the necessity of executing tasks with excellence to ensure the hospital's continued success and public recognition.

During the interactive session, students engaged in insightful discussions with Academician Jia on various topics, including artificial intelligence, time management, and science education for the public.
