Our hospital has long been entrusted as the teaching hospital for the clinical medicine majors of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Our commitment to the principle that "undergraduate teaching forms the bedrock of medical education" underscores our dedication to nurturing morally upright future practitioners. We aspire to serve as pioneers of progressive medical education ideologies. Since 2007, the hospital has been at the forefront of innovative teaching methodologies, including objective structured examinations, standardized patient projects, and simulation-based teaching, aimed at enhancing the comprehensive expertise of medical students. These efforts have yielded remarkable outcomes in clinical practice teaching, earning the first prize of the Shanghai Teaching Achievement Award and the second prize of the National Teaching Achievement Award. Additionally, several accomplishments have clinched the first prize of the Outstanding Teaching Achievement Award by Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

In terms of international collaboration, in 2015, we forged cooperative ties with the University of Ottawa in Canada, focusing on research and simulation teaching. We have also signed a memorandum of cooperation with the University of Melbourne in Australia to facilitate collaboration in medical education and faculty training.

Aligned with our commitment to fostering individuals of moral integrity, we continuously enhance ideological education and cultivate humanistic qualities among our students. Leveraging theme-based education, practical activities, and mentorship initiatives, we infuse our educational endeavors with a student-centered focus. Through a diverse array of engaging activities, we strive to enhance the moral, ethical, and cultural literacy of our medical students. Notably, our Party branch, Youth League general branch, and Student Union have earned accolades in various themed activities at Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. Our consistently high student employment rates have positioned us at the forefront among affiliates of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, earning us recognition as an advanced employment unit of Shanghai Jiao Tong University for consecutive years.
